Serbia Removes Visas for Turkish Citizens ahead of Erdogan Visit Serbia has decided to abolish the entrance visa requirement for citizens of Turkey, a Serbian government spokesperson announced.
The decision is to become effective as of July 12, Monday, announced Spokesperson Milivoe Mihajlovic as cited by BGNES.
The visa-free travel for Turkish citizens comes as a day before Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan is scheduled to visit Belgrade. Serbian citizens still need visas in order to travel to Turkey.
Erdogan is going to meet with his Serbian counterpart Mirko Cvetkovic and with President Boris Tadic. After that he will pay a visit to the Muslim-populated region of Sandzak in Southern Serbia, where agreements for investments by Turkish companies are supposed to be signed.
